How can extract soil properties for given fields from gSSURGO data base using R?

I have a shapefile of fields. I also downloaded data folders with with shapefiles and text files from gSSURGO database. The shapefile contain polygons and MUKEY of soil types. the soil types corresponding to these MUKEY values are in separate text files. the text files don't seem to have columns names. How can I extract the soil properties from these text files using RStudio?
