The nano- and micro-particles of noble metals, such as Ag, Pt and Pd, entrapped in a conducting polymer film were extensively used for preparing functional electrodes for sensing purposes due to their intrinsic catalytic properties, high electrical conductivity, good chemical stability and new physicochemical performances that are different from those obtained in the bulk state.
By my question, I would like to know more about the application of these composites for fuel cells technology.

From the attached scheme of a polymer electrolyte membrane-fuel cell(PEM-FC),the composite materials which you proposed can be useful as an anode in the PEM-FC. The present of nano- and micro-particles of noble metals, such as Ag, Pt and Pd, entrapped in a conducting polymer film, would help to crack/oxidize the hydrogen molecules(H2 ,the fuel in the PEM-FC) to Hydrogen Cations (H+ ) & electron (e-), in anodic reaction;
H2----2H++2e-. Consequently, the electrons flow to an ammeter (to generate electricity)and the Hydrogen Cations permeate through the polymer electrolyte membrane in order to eventually reduce to H2O, by interaction with the inlet Oxygen & the flow of electron from the ammeter, in the cathode area of the PEM-FC.
