I have a data set that comprises 34 questions"yes" or "no" items. To perform the analysis creating a new dummy variable is needed.
The first 12 questions is about " whether you produce a "typical crop"; the answer is "yes or no" The second then follows 11 variables and begins with soliciting; Have you get the following services from your local financial sectors, e.g. credit, the answer is[yes or no], ...and so on
The third 11 items are about health service access
Do have availability of clinics? the answer will be "yes or no" as usual
Lastly, the anticipated new variables will be "Crop", financial_service" and "health_service"
How can easily create new dummy variable from existing many dummies with support of SPSS ?

Generally, dummy variables are created to enhance interpretation but they are artifacts. Combining them adds one more layer to this artifact. The alternative, of course, is to use a variable reduction method pre-dummy creation, otherwise, the viable solution is to search/identify natural subgroups to "bin" your dummy categories into a more managble number.
