I'm working on bioactive glasses(Borate glass). There was not HAp layer formation deducted in XRD after immersion in SBF(simulated body fluid) solution. I immersed powdered sample for 12 days. Please give me some suggestions. I form SBF solution using Kokubo2006 research paper (attached)

The apatite did not form on your sample might due to several reasons.
1) Your sample might have slow dissolution rate. So, the ionic exchanged between your sample and SBF solution will be delayed and delay the apatite formation. I have similar experienced that apatite layer did not form even I soaked my sample for 14 days. Then, I prolonged the soaking time until 28 days. By then, the apatite has formed on my sample.
2) The SBF preparation problem. Yes we might have followed exactly the Kokubo's protocol. But this solution is very sensitive. Each chemical need to be dissolved properly before adding another chemical. And, the chemicals must be added little by little to avoid pH change drastically. Especially if you use CaCl2 in powder form. Add slowly. If you see any small whitish particle suddenly appear in your solution, please discard and prepare new solution. Because it is not ok and will not produce apatite on your sample. It took me several times to succeed in preparing SBF solution.
3) Sample might not have bioactivity. I am not sure about your sample's bioactivity. Please check in literature.
These reasons I learned from my study. Other researcher might have another opinions. By the way, good luck!

Also, Mr. Rohila, I would point out that sometimes it is difficult to get good XRD diffractograms if the amount of HA is too little. Sometimes you can only see a tiny peak at 32°. You could instead use FTIR to check the HA growth on the surface of your glass. FTIR is more sensitive than XRD.

Now I immersed the sample for 30 days in the incubator @37°C.
