There is a package call matlab.engine which can be used to call any function of Matlab in python. For ex:

# To check if number (e.g. 37) is prime or not?

import matlab.engine eng = matlab.engine.start_matlab() tf = eng.isprime(37) print(tf)

Probably you can use this package and try to import your matlab ANN code as a package (this link can help probably to do that: https://www.mathworks.com/help/compiler_sdk/gs/create-a-python-application-with-matlab-code.html)

Once you are able to perform tasks above, I hope you can expect success in running the your Matlab model in python.

When you are faced with big data it takes a long time to train the networks, so it would be better to implement the code with C or C++ . if you want to easily implement your code, Python, Matlab or Octave are good choices. Note that Python and Matlab can perform codes faster if they are written based on Linear Algebra.
