I have seen many experiments using a hair dryer on a polymeric jets that produces by electrospinning Technique. Does using a hair dryer help improve conductivity of conjugated polymers and how?
Hi Ahmed! I have some answers to your question, which is believed to help. (1) The "hair dryer" (usually understood as an aspirator assisted Equipment) will benifit in producitng the fibers with a higher orientation, and reducing the solution content. (2) You can have a clue now about the connection between the conductivity and the final form of the conjugated polymers--- which is highly orientation in the spinning direction, with a higher Crystallinity, and a greater purity. Therefore, I believe it is indeed a positive connection between the conductivity and the "hair dryer"
In my opinion the hair dryer affect on the conjugated polymer in which the charge carriers will move and jumps quickly due to the convection effect this will affect directly on the conductivity it will increase obviously, the hair dryer also assist increase the evaporation rate of solvent , orientation of the chains .
