Dear all, I am thinking to develop solutions for blind people to navigate and positioning themselves in indoor areas such as malls, hospitals, etc. I am thinking about the tool or device that can be used to help in guiding them into the desired location. Mobiles and smart gloves are found in some research papers. I am looking for your ideas and opinions to help in solving this problem that affects a big portion of the community.

The one possible solution is simply incorporate an audio guide by this way a blind and visually impaired person can go to their desire point on their own.

Nice topic Dr. Mohammed, I knew some of visually impaired people during my master study and they can move from one place to another by counting the steps, it means that they draw a map on their minds based on the number of steps.
So if u don't want an audio guide, I suggest to make something that can touchable and understandable for their minds to navigate a specific area.
