I am interested in how you are doing this. I have 6 small grandchildren scattered across the USA and want to influence their learning in a positive way. I want to help them see a broad view, but also to consider some relationship and spiritual issues.
Its just like your own children but you can hand them back to their parents when they get a little out of control. Evey child is differentand must be loved in accordance with their unique desires and needs. They need a loving strong moral compass. Encourage them to try new things and support their choices even if it isn't the choice you would make for them. Most of all help their parents in anway you can and allow them to raise theriechildren the way they desire - within reason.
Use your time to share your thoughts and experiences but leave the decision to them. If you live/practice what you say/preach, it won't be difficult for your children to see the values of what you advise them to do.
My granddaughters go to school up to middle afternoon. After, they must be kept until dinner time, because their parents both work.
The result is that I and my wife cannot travel or have long holidays
