Dear Afifa Jamil, it is done via fractional chromatographing via various techniques such as fractional precipitation, GPC (SEC), centrifuging, membrane dialysis, and others. However if it is possible to start by polymerizing the monomer, living/controlled polymerization is the BG best and time economic option. My Regards
Monodisperse branched polymers can be obtained by living polymerization of macromonomers having polymerizable functional groups at the ends, followed by single or co-living polymerization of the macromonomers. By using living radical polymerization, hyperbranched polymers with high degree of polymerization can be obtained by increasing the monomer concentration due to the diffusion rate effect.
