There are many ways to assess household vulnerability to climate change. The method that you use will be dependent on what data you have readily available and its spatial resolution, as well as how the spatial resolution and vulnerability index meet the stakeholders' or beneficiaries' needs.

Households' vulnerability to climate change and other natural hazards is often a function of variables such as: age, gender, livelihood, wealth, social networks, education levels, type of house. health, ass well as many other factors. In many countries, vulnerability indices of household to climate change are often based on what data are readily available.
