Critically not to reward children, inadvertently, for lying and to reinforce telling the truth. This means reacting in the right way when they confess to doing something wrong, with low expressed emotion, understanding and (depending on age) a talk about how to avoid this in the future. It also means having a truthful environment in the home at all times - as our esteemed colleague has mentioned telling them the truth, in terms they can understand, and being truthful with each other around the home. Emphasising the truth as part of families values, whether Christian, Muslim, humanist or other (the truth shall set you free as St Paul put it). Showing that it is easier to tell the truth than carry anxiety and fear from lying. This can be illustrated with classic children's films and books which illustrate the pitfalls of lying. Fundamentally to create an atmosphere of low anxiety and acceptance around the truth. To do this requires a deep look at ourselves as parents and any lies with live by or which are embedded in our lives must be rooted out.

There is any number of youth programs that teach such things as honesty. I have been a life long "Boy Scout", where I learned a good moral code. Rather than seeking an answer to how to teach honesty, I suggest seeking to find organizations or processes that teach honesty. This would include programs for parents to use with their children.

Honesty should not be the best policy, but the only policy, in my view. If you want your child to cultivate this value, practice what you say to him/her in her/his presence. Do not expect the kids to escape the TV negative exposure if you yourself are a TV addict. Say sorry to your kids in an honest way, if you want them to learn how to say sorry. If you say sorry and you repeat the same mistake the following day, then they will know you are not honest, period!!

As parents we have to assist our children to develop good habits in their day to day life and being honest is the best one.

Mostly we quick to scold the kids before hearing the complete incident or stories they are saying. Instead of doing this, we have to listen and reward their truth at least when they are sharing with us. It build their self-confidence and strengthen their positive behaviour. Repeat the same good behavior again and again to them, definitely it will work. They used to forget very shortly whatever you are asking to follow them. That’s very common among the children but it’s our responsibility to teach them, give sufficient space to share their feelings or opinions and very importantly we keep trust on them than other’s talk. Avoid unnecessary talk about others in front of the children. Especially parents don’t fight at home when the children are with you. Keep the eco aside and try to solve the family issues politely, significantly don’t allow third person (whoever it might be) to interfere in couples disputes it completely destroy your child’s faith on you. As a parents, respect each other and don’t say to your child all the people are bad and dishonest. In general children are following what you are doing not what you are saying.

Perhaps the only alternative is through coherence between what is mentioned and what is done, that is, the example.

The answer is hidden in the word itself which is as:

H-Humbleness

O-Organized

N-Nurturable

E-Ethical

S-Sincere

T-Truthfulness

Y-Yeetus

We have to cultivate the seed of "HONESTY" among the children so that they may lead the "Humanity" to new heights.

It's We who will make the difference in the existing system by changing our own Thoughts, Actions, and Behaviours which lead to shape our overall Social Character. Our thoughts will shape our day to day action and gradually it will become our behaviour and finally one will behave accordingly during social interactions. We can organize small session in our community to teach them how to be an Ethical Responsible Global Citizen (ERGC).

Since childhood,we have to tell them using "Story-telling Method" to teach the difference between:

• Right action and Wrong Action
• Virtuous and Non-virtuous character
• Good and Bad

So, if we want to see changes among "Children",we have to be the change as we don't know who is following us and for whom we are a "Role Model".

This was by understanding about the above question.......

Being genuine is key! Honesty is a great virtue. Teaching our children the importance of honesty helps enhance their awareness and insight. Storytelling and playing could be attracting teaching methods.

With everyday real examples. In medicine, we discuss a clinical record in which a patient has been attended with dishonesty by a former physician in many different ways. For example, a whole set of laboratory and/or ancillary tests are ordered with no indication or reason for diagnosis just to get an extra income produced by conflict of interests with the clinical laboratory, or a none necessary surgical procedure is proposed to a patient.

The clinical case is presented to the classroom, and specific questions are asked regarding the proper indication of laboratory or ancillary tests for diagnosis and the necessity or not of therapeutic alternatives. In this way, the student takes note of what is ethical and what is not. What should be done and what not.
