In general; would there be optic "tools" that could be used in anatomy to observe more detailed the structures. This can be from Antiquity, Middle Ages, to Early Modern period.
-Looking for articles and such. In case of anatomy and dissection I am looking for possible tools that could be used before the 18th century.
-I am not an expert, so I would pressume the use of magnifying glasses, and logically the microscope could help. Or even eyeglasses?
-Names such as Roger Bacon I found, and the Book of Optics (which might have an influence?)
-Microscopes would be introduced in the 17th century, however, what was the state of these?
Thanks for your time and help.
