If you mean the new hardware technology for video transmission, it should be 5G with speed 10 Gbps and 1 ms response delay. In WiFi, IEEE802.11ac with speed 5Gbps is efficiently used for video streaming scenario. But if you mean software, SCTP, DCCP, SIP, RTP, DASH, etc.
