For taxonomy of living angiosperms the most recent book is probably Soltis et al., "Phylogeny and evolution of the angiosperms" (Chicago Univ. Press, 2017). For fossil taxa see Friis et al. "Early flowers and angiosperm evolution" (Cambridge Univ. Press, 2011). There is also a simple account by Heywood et al. entitled "Flowering plant families of the world" (Firefly, 2007). I am afraid Hutchinson's books (both "Genera..." and "Families of flowering plants") may be outdated in some respects.
