Kindly tell me the best method and chemical I can use to preserve human blood serum so that the triglycerides are not oxidized. I want to to keep human serum for one month and then analyze it.

As I think the best way is to keep it in a heparinized bottle and deep freeze it to -20 degree centigrate

I also think that sodium citrate in a concentration of 3.8% can be used and deep freezing to minus 20 degree centigrate will do the job

Hi, hope fully you found what you are asking about, please consider the following comment with some caution because I am not deadly sure. As stated in some papers you can use one part of sodium citrate solution for evry nine parts of serum or whole blood. Deep freezing to minus 20 degree centegrate is very important for keeping your sample preseved for a long time. As I said take this with some cautious and to this point you need to read and search more or may be assisstance from more expert ones in this field.
