In my research, participants will be recruited from general population through advertisements in social media in Pakistan. Potential participants can apply online or via phone. They will be then invited to complete GAD-7 on the internet as screening questionnaire along with some others for reporting their possible depressive and anxiety features respectively, and to provide their contact details.
Randomisation of participants
A list of random numbers will be generated by a research assistant who was blinded to the study conditions, using a computerised true random number generator (www.random.org). The researcher who will administer the diagnostic interview will have no access to the list. Upon completing the intake phone interview, participants recruited will be randomly assign to experimental and control group according to the generated list.

A Google link will be posted with ads to provide study insight and collect personal information about participants such as contact and email address. Participants will be contacted for an initial interview prior to recruitment in the study. Those who will show anxiety symptoms will be further screened using study scales to select for the research. I hope it may help you to assume an accurate sampling method for my study.
I think the issue here is not so much your sampling methods as the definition of your population. In particular, it sounds like you are doing a random sample from an unknown population.
Please I have a similar dilemma, my research is focused on a particular generational cohort (gen Z) in Nigeria. However, I dont have direct contact with all of the target participants but I have colleagues and friends who have sent my survey link to and requested they share with eligible participants (in this case gen Zs) in their network. What type of sampling method is this?
This kind of referral based process is often known as snowball sampling

Technically, hypotheses are just research questions stated in "If...then..." form. If your research questions are stated in a form that is directly testable, then that is enough.
