I bought some China Polyvinyl Alcohol Pva Bp-24 that does not dissolve in cold water. How to modified it to solve it in cold water (At the lowest cost)?
Based on my hands-on experience, PVA will dissolve in water but the process is sluggish at low temperatures. I usually heat the solution at 60 oC using a water bath to facilitate the dissolution and then let the solution cool down to room temperature or lower temperatures.
Can you dissolve PVA at a bit high temperature and cool it down to your desired temperature after PVA is dissolved?
CCP's BP24 should dissolve in cold water given its 88% partially hydrolysed. Please verify you have not got CCP's BF24 which is superhydrolysed and will need hot water to dissolve.
