My current kind of contacts are bonded, but im having big differences between average and unavergaded results. So i tried use frictionless contact just in some areas and i got low differences between average and unavergaed results. Is it valid use only in some areas? or must to apply in all the contact areas.

I think if the welding is properly applied, bonded contact should be the best approach to model it. I wonder what you mean with average results?. Streess results? Displacement?.

Excuse: what is your goal? Simulating the welding process, or ( as I guess) calculating the weld stenth? This makes a big difference...
