Hi! Could you please tell me how to store (- 80°C) anaerobic bacteria (e.g. Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans)? The problem is that Prevotella had not survived freezing after being stored at -80°C in the glycerol BHI medium with added vitamin K and hemin.

Every bacteria responds differently to cryopreservation methods, so it is hard to pinpoint one method that will work for all/some of your specific organisms. That being said, there are some good references that might help you, either because the suggested protocols might work for your organisms or because they will shed some light on how to develop your own method.
Three papers had helped me a lot to start the development of a cryopreservation protocol, they are linked below. I hope they are also helpful to you.
