Hesitant fuzzy sets is a relatively new concept. Do you know any exciting examples and examples of how we can identify them?
I've come up with only one convincing idea. Blood analysis, e.g., hemoglobin level for women and men. Fig. shows where color red - level for women and color green for men. If we have a result of blood analysis and we do not know the sex of the subject. Then, it is the example of the hesitant fuzzy set. Do you have more examples?
I am sure that one of the most interesting example is in Atanassov's book (Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets Theory and Application, 1999). Let E be the set of all countries with elective governments. Assume that we know for every country x e E the percentage of the electorate who have voted for the corresponding government. Let it be denoted my M(x) and let m(x)=M(x)/100. Let v(x)=1-m(x). This number corresponds to that part of electorate who have not voted for the government. By means of the fuzzy set theory we cannot consider this value in more detail. However, if we define v(x) as the number of votes given to parties or persons outside the government, then we can show the part of electorate who have not voted at all and the corresponding number will be 1-m(x)-v(x).Thus 0
Thanks. It is a good example. However, I am looking for examples with respect to continuous variables as the mentioned level of hemoglobin. By the way, this example is quite expensive to identify ;)

According to present views intuitionistic fuzzy set is equivalent to fuzzy set type 2. Hence, find real and exiting examples of T2 FSs in papers on this subject and transform them (only formal transformation) to corresponding intuitionistic sets.
