I have a project that needs to collect data about the electric conductivity, dissolved oxygen and CO2 levels in water. These sensors need to be electronics, to be connected to an Arduino board. As the tests are so simple and don't need to be so accurate, we are thinking of developing it by ourselves to our tests, once we think of using it for the next six months, and we want to avoid the high costs of these type of sensors. Thus, if there are someone developing this type of sensors, we can can make a partnership to make these tests.

In order to build virtual welding system in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), it is necessary to get several sensors to study of the main parameters of SMAW such as:
1. Welding angles sensors.
In the SMAW process, the welder must control two electrode angles. The first angle is the one formed between the electrode and the base metal, called the work angle. The second angle is the angle that the electrode is held at relative to the direction of travel called the travel angle.
Many tools can be used to make similarity of these angles, one of these tools is using inertial measurement unit (IMU), where we are using VN-100 from https://www.vectornav.com/products/vn-100
2. Welding Arc Length Sensor
The Arc Length is the term used to describe the distance from the tip of the electrode to the base metal and can be varied from lightly touching the metal at an angle sufficient to maintain an arc to a distance far enough from the base metal to extinguish the arc. One of the major difficulties in virtual welding systems is how to represent arc welding to get the actual distance between the tips of electrode and welding coupons. One of the tools which are using to make similarity Welding Arc Length Sensor is using linear variable differential transformer (LVDT)
3. Travel Speed Sensors
The rate of travel across the joint is controlled by the welder during welding and greatly affects the appearance and strength characteristics of the weld. To represent a travel speed in virtual system three types of sensors are used, an ultrasound sensor, infrared sensor, and an image processing obtained from an external webcam camera.
4. Electrode Consumption Sensor
The burn off rate or the linear rate of consumption of a consumable electrode is considered as one of the main parameters in the welding process. DC motor, small gearbox and a rotary optical encoder are used to control a screwed shaft to make a simulation for the welding electrode consumption.
Also I am used Labjack with load cell to calculate and monitoring the axial load which is affected from drill machine one the workpiece , you can see below article.
