I conducted a static general analysis.I tried searching for the answer online. But I could not get the exact answer. I did not want stress value at a particular node (which is what I get from Query Option in Abaqus), I needed to find stress value at a PARTICULAR X,Y,Z coordinate. Example, What is the stress value at X=34, Y=5, Z=1, irresepective of weather or not there is a node at that location. My guide said that it should be possible to extract the value at any location. Can anyone help?!

as you know we can get von mises stress at any particular node. now you want to determine a point for getting result at this point. you can simply define a datum point by defining coordinates and get the von mises stress value at corresponding node.
