It looks like MassLynx lost communication with instrument. The QTof needs hard reboot. First reboot PC and make sure that Waters DHCP Server is working properly (run configuration program from C:\Program Files (x86)\Waters Instruments\Waters DHCP Server Configuration.exe). If Qtof information is visible in DHCP window, then select it and remove. Then on the back of the instrument there are two switches. Upper one should read "Pump Override". Set it to ON (not AUTO). Then switch off electronics (bottom switch). Wait 10-20 seconds and turn ON electronics. On Waters DHCP Server you should see MS getting IP address, Type, Serial number, Name. Wait until all info is visible in DHCP Server configuration window. Then move "Pump Override" switch into AUTO position. Open MassLynx and check mass range.

I have done as you suggested but still did not respond. When I do rebbort, sofare initially returns to normal, but after some time, the mass range returns as early (ms score high).

I have done a reinstall (restore) pc and re-install softare masslinx. And I have recovered the normal mass score, but I got a new problem, in masslinx view written "serviece required". When in click 'ms tune', then click 'operate', the 'beam" not rerpon look like in the picture that I attached,

Beam does not give response, do you think there is miscommunication between instrument and pc, or on its instrument?

Hi! We are having the same initial problem that Muhammad. We can´t set a scale, there is no signal and no triggering, and no direct infussion.

The local service technicians told us that the ADC converter is damaged, and that we must replace it. What do you think? Did this happen to any of you? Is it common that this ADC fails?

The local Waters retailers quoted us US$25000. Do you know if it is what a ADC converter actually costs, or is it too much?

Maybe we can try reinstalling MassLynx before replacing the part. Any suggestions?

I´ve tried as you said, but no success.

The local service opened the lateral door and the ADC converter was not working, since it didnt have the led lights on. Apparently that ADC converter is the one that is damaged.

But we are not sure if there is some other problem, or maybe it is a software/communication issue.

Can anyone that has access to Waters USA quotations tell me how much is that ADC converter? The part # is: ADC PCB ASSEMBLY 700008950.
