Your find is very interesting.
Iridescence is a phenomenon from which the rainbow colors can be retrieved. Depending on the viewing angle, a color pallet can be identified. For this, another phenomenon typically constructive interference takes place, from interference and diffraction of light.
The phenomenon is operational from existence of several layers (multiple reflexion) with dimension similar to the wavelength of visible light, 400 – 700 nm. The observed color represent the total reflection. In this sense, taking into account the incident light the interference involve reflected light ray by both inner surface of the layer and outer surface. Alternatively, the iridescence phenomenon can also occur steaming of fissures in the mineral. These conditions are satisfied in the mineral based on fibrous quartz sometimes also called of macro crystalline quartz called Tiger’ Eye (English) also Hawk’ eye (English) or Ceil-de-tiger (French), see:

In fact, this gemstone is a pseudomorph, steaming of the transformation of the crosidolite to quartz.
Despite, of the possibility of the arrangment of CNT be of type nano-woodpile structures, the possibility of some kind of phenomenon as above mentioned can give some insight for observed phenomenon.
