A postdoc of mine determined that one of our pellicle beamsplitters was dirty. That is, some stains were present and interfering with experimental interference arrangements. We asked Thorlabs about this issue, and the engineer didn't give a positive answer. Is it possible to clean it via ultrasound? (http://www.thorlabs.com/thorProduct.cfm?partNumber=CM1-BP145B5) Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we could effectively clean the instrument?
