In coastal aquifers the water level could be subjected to a sinusoidal fluctuations induced by oceanic tides. In that case the interpretation of pumping tests could be problematic. If anyone are involved in this kind of interpretation I would be glad to help by using the method described in the publication “Pumping test analysis in confined aquifers subjected to tidal fluctuations”. This automatic method provides the aquifers parameters and the characteristics of the fluctuation (amplitudes and time lags in relation to the oceanic tides). Data about the tide, prior or during the test, are not necessary in this method.
