I have worked on metallothermic reduction of MnO containing slags (50-55% MnO) wherein the Al or Si or Al-Si reducing agents reduce MnO and FeO and some SiO2 in slag to form 'low carbon' ferroalloys. But I wanted to know if someone has worked on injecting carbon powder (coke, pet coke, Anthracite, coal etc) into molten slags containing 50-55% MnO and obtaining a 'high carbon' ferroalloy that would typically be a High Carbon Ferromanganese?
