We are attempting to use H.formosa/Least killifish as a model species for an eco-evolutionary study. We have observed very little breeding despite ideal conditions and good fish health. pH is 7.8-8.0, NH3/4+ is 0, temperature 26C, Large areas of artificial refuges. Food is zm-200 supplemented regularly with frozen Cyclops, and live Moina (small species of daphnid).

Any suggestions from people? Why might they not be breeding? Considering they change to guppies but would rather give the Killis a chance first.
