Sorry for my greatly delayed response to this message. I am not very familiar with RG, and I went away for four weeks in September and October shortly after you sent this message. I have only just found your reply now.

I am excited to be in contact with you. I have made an initial reading of the paper that you wrote with Joris Mithalal in 2018 on instrumental deconstruction. I am interested in your argument that instrumental deconstruction and dimensional deconstruction are two dimensions of the same problem solving process, rather than being distinct, as originally envisaged by Duval. I have your paper down in my schedule for more detailed reading when I am at a later stage in my research proposal.

I am still working on my literature review for my PhD colloquium document at the moment. I think that when introducing tools in geometry, such as physical protractors, it is important to concentrate on geometry as a separate process to measurement so that students gain an understanding of the geometric structure of the tools they use. I am also interested in the relationship between physical and digital tools, and building that into my theoretical framework.

I would like to get back in touch when i am more advanced in my literature review.
