Physiological human tissue consists of over 300 different proteins with different functions.

3D bio printing of single natural proteins like collagen-1, gelatin or alginate was already shown in many publications.

3D bio printing of heterogenic mixtures of tissue-specific proteins are rather low presented in publications.

To mimic human tissue in a 3D bio printed construct, a bio ink that consist of complex ECM mixtures is probably a fruitful strategy to create functional artificial human tissues/organs at larger scales.

Has anyone experience in 3D bio printing tissue-specific/complex ECM mixtures?
