We need to realize a cylindrical capillary to validate reactive silicon infiltration simulations with experimental data.
If you need just one or a few capillaries, you could try to use a focused ion beam (FIB) (it usually comes with a SEM, and allows micromachinning of your samples and SEM observations at the same time).

You have to the impregnate the usual carbon filaments with a molten silicon, remove the free silicon phase in the acids, and oxide free carbon component (1100 C, many hours). In the positive result you can receive the hole SiC micron tube (see attachment).

This method sound very interesting (I could not see the attchs...) I would cosider it to produce SiC capillars, but actually I need to manufacture a carbon capillar in orther to have its walls reactive against Si.

I think you may use other method. The thin nickel wire have to be coated with pyrographite by thermal decomposition of methane in electric field. Then the nickel core may be removed by chemical etching.
