I am looking to differentiate my iPSC lines into cardiomyocytes. The protocol that I am following starts the cells in E8, but we maintain our cells in mTSER+. One of my colleagues said they were able to differentiate their iPSCs from mTSER+ into different cell types but I was wondering if anyone has ever tried this? Thanks!

You can try differentiate them directly from mTeSR+ media without any major issues. In our lab, we worked with mTeSR and mTeSR+ for a long time, but we’ve been working with StemFlex for a few years now. We adapted our cell lines to the new media and proceed with our differentiation protocols with no issues. In fact, we work with cardio, neuro , and endoderm differentiations protocols and they go just fine in StemFlex and used to work fine in mTeSR as well. I think you will be fine!
