Has anyone compared Ronald Khan's and Randy Seeley's adipose tissue transplantation protocols?

I am planning to perform visceral adipose tissue transplantation experiments and I am stuck whether I should follow Ronald Khan's protocol (Cell Metab 7, 410-420) or Randy Seeley's protocol (Physiol Rep 1 doi:10.1002/phy2.15). Has anyone compared these two protocols? If not, which one do you suggest I should try first?
