Hi Andrea. I understand this was a long time ago now, but I'm also looking at blotting for porcine cytochrome c in cytosolic fractions I'll be generating following induction of apoptosis (using poly(I:C)).
Did you find an antibody that worked in the end? What concentration did you use it at? And how many cells were required for each fraction in order to detect cytochrome c?
We got some signal with MBS2002987 antibody (1:100) in liver lysate (40ug protein/lane), but it was pretty weak, and we could not get a signal in depleted serum from injured pigs. We tried some other antibodies but got no signal at all. Good luck
