I have recently seen heterospecific aggression from individuals of Lophonetta specularioides alticola against Anas puna (Anas versicolor puna) in a lagoon at 3800 m above sea level in the peruvian highlands. The visual encounter was made specifically in the first week of March of the present year. Is this agression something that has been registered before? Is it typical for Lophonetta specularioides to act this way?
