Grey water is wastewater generated from our daily lives, kitchen sinks, baths, showers and laundries. There will be a huge potential to treat this water and reuse it, are there any way to improve grey water treatment related with environment sustainability and water efficiency? Thanks in advance.
Most grey water is easier to treat and recycle than blackwater ( sewage ), because of lower level of contaminants. If collected using a separate plumbing system from blackwater, domestic greywater can be recycled can be recycied . Sources of grey water include sinks, showers, baths, clothes washings machines or dish washers. As grey water contains fewer pathogens than domestic wastewater, it is generally safer to handle and easier to treat and reuse onsite for toilet flushing, landscape or crop irrigation and other non potable uses. I will add two points:
It is not necessary to give treatment to gray water. The only problem is to develop and manage system for collection and keep it separate from black water.
Second, such water, if used immediately, no large scale treatment is required. Therefore we should identify proper use of gray water.
Thank you all. yes, greywater mostly is used for irrigation and toilet flushing, laundry use? as I know. but all the greywater potentially has harmful bacterial and viruses to the organisms, we don't know what soapy or laundry detergent people use. if we can treat greywater properly and reuse it, it will save much more fresh water.
Biotreatment is usually the least costly. It can produce 20-20 treated water that can either be returned to natural streams or reused in agriculture. If diluted with fresh natural running water it could be treated again for domestic uses. It's done in rivers in Europe.

Sounds using Solar energy and biotreatment are the efficient ways to treat graywater. biological treatment ( i.e. using sequencing batch reactor, biofiltration) and chemical treatment (using of titanium dioxide and UV to removing organic carbon from graywater) , from Parsons A. Bedel C, and Jefferson C. "Chemical vs Biological treatment of greywater". Solar filtration system or solar panel to treat greywater, sounds probably costly.
the gray water have some pollution same as foam,soap, oil .hair and so on....
recycling the gray water is easier than black water treatment.it can treat with a small reactor of electro coagulation, sedimentation and other cheap reactors
