Getting non-significant results from ANOVA but significant with pair-t tests?

Why is it that when I run an ANOVA (4 groups) I get non-significant values (i.e. p = 0.78) but when I run pair-t test for each of the groups all seem to be significantly different but one pair?

Hi Mercedes,

yes the two samples are independent. I think you are right, I will try running t-test for two samples.
