I a, working with a small organisation, wanting to grow its research department. The organisation has five staff members. I am new and want to grow its research department. Can anyone guide me on how to grow partnership (collaborations) and as well as identifying funding for research?

Im not sure if your organization is a private or public one. One of the ways to grow research partnership is to collaborate with experienced researchers in similar research areas with your organization.
You can search the internet for funding in your area of research. You need to write a lot of research proposals. Develop thick skin to rejection; many proposals will likely be rejected. That is where collaboration comes in, you need to identify experienced researchers in your area of research interest. This is not simple, you may have to write emails, visit them physically, do Skype meetings to convince them of your intention to collaborate with them.
