Depends of course, both of your and your students conditions and needs and upon your definitions of these terms ”online learning” ”blended learning” and ”distance learning”. None of them are directly about learning really, they are about the organisation of teaching. Learning does not blend or is distant from the learner as a process. But what the teacher does in his course design affects student learning.
However, I guess you are thinking that blended learning also contains physical meetings. Perhaps, but all this is a question of how technology, not only digital, is integrated into the teaching-learning social process.
A very practical way to think of the teaching-learning process is how synchronous meetings (classroom, online meetings, telephone, whatever) are combined with asynchronous, flexible component (readings, assessments, etc) in a shift pattern. That depends on the Curriculum - for a learning objective x how can teaching be constructed? Lab work is often difficult without using a physical lab, but not all in class must meet there at once - in this, also the lab component can be a physichal but asynchronous component. Just look at the classroom as another ICT (information and communication technology) and organise your teaching as best as you can with the tools available.. If the components of the course are only asynchronous, as in most MOOCs, many students will not make it. But if there are some synchronous components as well, the likelyhood of finalising the course increases a lot. Then problem are solved, there is a pacing mechsnism, there is social interaction to resolve experienced lonelineless.check attached research if interested.
For me, it depends on available resources your school and your students can have. If internet connectivity is very okay or stable then I think a full online teaching can be possible for in the future physical classrooms will no longer exist and everything will be virtual.
I can not say I prefer blended learning or distance learning . Because some time require necessary option like now distance learning is the best option to protect yourself and family from Coronavirus.
Despite the effectiveness of blended learning, the Corona-virus pandemic has led to all institutions seeking to have learning completely online via the Internet.
But blended learning, its types, and strategies become the basis.
In my opinion, it depends on the situation and your learning objective. I have experienced BL and full-online classes but I still prefer Blended Learning.
