You can access meteorological data from worldwide measurement stations via NOAA:

http://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/cdo-web/#t=firstTabLink

There you can choose the station(s) and request (for free) the type of data you are interested in.

Well, there are worldwide data. Just click on "Mapping tool" then you can decide what type of dataset you are looking for. For example "hourly/subhourly", then a map opens with all the stations that you can access:

You can find there gridded and instrumental data.
