Lakatos defines that a scientific research program is structured by a set of related theories that share a common vision with a set of paradigms that make up the core of research program. This in turn is protected by a belt of auxiliary hypotheses (Lakatos, 1974). However, in business sciences, in general, and in the study of entrepreneurship, in particular, these two elements are not very clear.
