Does anyone know any free software that helps you keep track of the large amount of info in a journal article? I don't like having to look for a certain paragraph many times whenever I need to. NVivo is great, but not free. Thank you. =)
Mendeley as suggested by Leticia Nayeli Ramírez-Ramírez is a very good software. It has free version with 2gb of free cloud space.
However, since it is proprietary and not free in the true sense, I would suggest Zotero, which has no lock-in for the library files and offers a small 300mb cloud space or you can have unlimited local storage. You can use Google Drive to backup the files on cloud. It is for this reason that migrating from Zotero to Mendeley/EndNote,etc is much easier as there is no lock-in when compared to migrating entire library from Mendeley to Zotero.
