“Forgiveness is divine” but when and why? I am pleased to invite all dear respected RG colleagues to give their valuable suggestions and comments in this regard.
Being willing to forgive involves a positive attitude toward the offense rather than a negative attitude toward the offender. Forgiveness purifies the soul and the heart from pain, forgetting and forgiving is courage and a kind heart, but to whom deserves it, but I wonder for how long? Tolerance for how long? Because too much tolerance may harm a kind heart ... With my sincere gratitude, Doctor.
When someone unintentionally offends us, it indicates that the offender has personal deficiencies that he may not be aware of. In this case, our continued openness toward him may provide the opportunity to be of personal help to him in the areas revealed by his offenses.
“Not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and then waiting for the rat to die.” “Before we can forgive one another, we have to understand one another.” “Let us forgive each other – only then will we live in peace.” “True forgiveness is when you can say, “Thank you for that experience.”
Dear Dr. Manal Hadi Kanaan, thank you so much for doing significant discussion in this thread. You have correctly said some situations not allow this divine virtue and I also agree with you. So we should have to use our conscience for taking any oath or decisions.
Every thing has its limitations hence forgiveness too has its limitations. Allah, the most merciful and beneficent also does not forgive associating partiners with Him.
Dear Prof. Dr. M.K. Tripathi, thanks for your significant contribution. Yes, the Almighty Allah is the final authority for pardon. I fully agreed with you dear Sir.
