I would like to suggest cheap and easy ways to intervene in forest fires and industrial fires when water is not sufficient for intervention.
I am a Turkish citizen, radiation physicist and university doctor. I also work in the field of environmental protection and inventions. I have seen a technology that could be of use - pressure swing adsorption (PSA). It is a well-known industrial process, and it is currently used in portable oxygen concentrators for people with breathing disorders. By adsorbing oxygen on a solid substrate, and by managing the pressure and flow properly, oxygen concentrators produce two streams of gas from air - one enriched in Oxygen and the other decreased on Oxygen. By aiming the low-oxygen stream at a fire, devices using PSA could decrease combustion by starving the fire of oxygen. The high-oxygen stream could be always be used by the people fighting the fire, to augment their breathing devices. The technology is well-known, but this application has not yet been tried, as far as I know.

What I seek is cheap and easy methods, and there are additional materials and new methods that can be worked on. Unfortunately, the authorities facing different forest fires did not respond to the call.
I have been focusing on a similar topic, although to make inert and suffocate industrial compartment fires with minimum use of suppressants.
In developing cost-effective penetration tooling and methods to support rapid access and containment for the naval industrial environment.
I am similarly aiming to prevent fires at the source of human hazards and the developmental systems may also contribute to reducing compartment fires and explosions from spreading to bush and forest areas. Please see a short introduction below.
