Are there any carbon/metal or diamond/metal composites having high thermal conductivity (500-1000 W/mK) and high temperature resistance (500-1000 K)?
Materials with anisotropic thermal conductivity are favourable, as the heat flux goes in one direction (across the substrate).
Currently we use copper substrates (for details please see ref. below), but copper thermal conductivity (400 W/mK) is not enough.
