No sutures are required normally in early infancy. Because the clamp crushes the edge of the foreskin, bleeding is rare. and healing is good
on the other hand using suture especially bigger than 5-0 will lead to cutaneous fistula formation
Suture at 6 o'clock is mandatory for phrenoplasty. There is a high chance of bleeding at this site and it is also aesthetically important.
If a fine absorbable suture such as vicryl rapide 5/0 is used, the results would be excellent without suture marks. Also, 2 sutures at 6 & 12 o clock or maximum of 4 sutures at 12 /3 /6/ 9 o clock with fibrin glue application would enhance the cosmesis.
I think vicryl is not suitable. If we had to suture , The plain catcut is better.

Vicryl® has 75% of its original breaking strength at 14 days and 50% at 21 days. In contrast, Vicryl Rapide® has 50% at 5 days and almost none at 14 days.
