For assessment of the bird diversity, is there any rules such as the survey should be carried out for this number of days per month or not?

I carried out bird survey twice a month ( at interval of 15 days) for 8 months period following same transect line and point count stations. Is there any hard and fast rule or standard procedure for this?

Dear Santosh Bajagain ,

The diversity index alone will not answer much. There is no rule for sampling. However, it is expected that you have achieved good sample sufficiency for such inferences. Thus, it may be interesting to do a test that assesses the completeness of your sample beforehand. I guess.
