Dear Siddhartha, first you have to specify, what do you mean by 'shallow marine fauna'. All diverse group of organisms (diatoms, ostracodes, foraminifera, copepodes, and many more) thrive in shallow marine environment.. Each of these group of organisms have unique food preference and mode of intake. Therefore, look for specific group and its food preference.
