Dear all, I am developing FGD´s with children in inclusive settings. Further the focus will be a reconstructive view on personal skills and competencies. At the moment I need support in two dimensions:
a) do you know any reports wich can give me advice to prepare better?
b) is there any research known wich shows closer details of the construct of competencies (social, emotional etc.)?

For FG with children, take a look at Gibson (2012), "Interviews and Focus Groups With Children: Methods That Match Children’s Developing Competencies."
Beyond that, can you say more about what you mean by "inclusive settings"?
Facing the German discussion of inclusion I want to find out wether there are special competencies and skills of children which provide succesfull inclusion. We call them "inclusive competencies". An inclusive setting means a instutional organzied group which is acting or said to be inclusive. Children are active and reactive actors in the process of inclusion. But there is no evident closer research (found), which asks the children theirselves what they need to act "inclusive". Thanku you for your support!
I sounds like inclusion is the topic of your research, and you want to learn about children's thoughts and activities with regard to inclusion. Is that correct?
