Hi,

I have a basic doubt.

Fluorescence quenching of a molecule by a quencher can be due to processes such as ground state complex formation, excited state reactions, energy transfer, collisional quenching etc.

Electron transfer mechanism is an excited state phenomena where an electron from the accepter is transfered to donor .

Is this electron transfer is a collional or dynamic quenching process (Article Electron transfer Fluorescence quenching of napthalenediols ...

)

From which experiment, we can get information if quenching is due to electron transfer or not ? Is this electron transfer process is Dexter energy transfer? If yes, then change in fluorescence lifetime will confirm the electron transfer ?

Please help in understanding this.

Thanking You
